Yoga asks us:

How do we know how to choose?

No one knows everything,

Including teachers.

A great teacher aims to always first be a student.

A teacher leans into the space that exists before a question is formed.

The lean always leads to the other side.

On the other side of what is safely in front of us, there lies a question ready to emerge.

The question is the domain of the beginner’s mind –  the realm of untainted understanding and zero degrees of influence, where all is possible and nothing is yet conditioned.

A teacher leans in, deeper and deeper, practice after practice, working to empty this space of all tyranny.

No rights or wrongs – only recognition.

Seeking answers is how one feeds the tongue of curiosity.

There is not a one-size-fits-all diet for the act of seeking.

A student becomes a teacher when a commitment is made to observe and then integrate the wonder of the question.

The “seat” of the teacher moves around the room.

You are invited to ask the unwanted questions.

Doubt what I say.

Doubt leads to growth.

Uncertainty leads to certainty.

Certainty builds your own confidence rather than simply borrowing another’s.

Consciousness draws us to enter into those places where uncertainty lingers.

Doubt allows us to gain great conversation in life, if we can be OK with asking questions.

If you ask me, the best feature of a great conversation is

Curiosity.

Vismaya is sanskrit for ‘amazing’.

Develop Vismaya ~  the capacity to follow your curiosity and step into wonder.

And notice how your conversations, questions, and choices

become friends, not foes.

The wonder is not the answer.

It’s the question.

The Question is the Journey
